103.7 The Mountain (KMTT-FM) was named one of the top five rock radio stations in the country by Rolling Stone Magazine (July 13-27, 2006). In an article written by Evan Serpick, in the July issue of Rolling Stone, Rock Radios Last Stand, he asks the question What Happened To Rock Radio? Rolling Stone Magazine searched the country over and found five great radio stations that are both commercially viable and musically diverse. 103.7 The Mountain (KMTT-FM) is one of only five radio stations in the country to receive this honor. An excerpt --The station (KMTT-FM) has earned a reputation as a tastemaker with features like the Mountain Music Lounge, where favored artist like Fiona Apple, Trey Anastasio and Lyle Lovett come into the studio to play cuts from their new albums. (Rolling Stone Magazine, 1004/1005) We are very proud to be recognized by Rolling Stone. Seattle is a great radio market with an audience that truly loves music. This passion for the music makes diverse and adventurous radio possible. Without the incredible support of our listeners, The Mountain would not be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, says Shawn Stewart, Program Director KMTT-FM. "
