The Seahawks’ bizarre decision to throw the ball from the one yard line and not hand off to Marshawn Lynch will certainly be scrutinized for a very, very long time. Thanks to the social media driven world we live in, the critics have already begun to opine on the matter -- Bryan Altman, CBS Local Sports Friday, January 30 2015
A great time was had by all at the 2015 Seattle Invitationals. 20 contestants compete for the title of best armature Elvis impersonator. This years show was at the Crocodile Cafe in downtown Seattle. Sorry I didn't get footage of all the Elvi (Yes, Elvi is plural for Elvis) I think the footage shot by my wife Christy and I combined with Mojo Nixon's "Elvis is Everywhere" really captures the spirit of the evening

Back 1994 I was sitting in a bar in Seattle's Belltown neighborhood when a long haired bearded dude asked me what I thought about the music playing on the stereo, he said it was the new Soundgarden album that hadn't been released yet. I told him I wasn't a big Soundgarden fan but the music he was playing sounded pretty cool. It was then I realized I was talking to Kim Thayil, Soundgarden's lead guitar player. My luke warm warm review of his music didn't seem to phase him a bit, in fact I think it made his day. He turned to a group of people he was hanging out with, pointed at me and said "that guy dosn't even like Soundgarden and he likes the new stuff, this album is going to be huge! Happy anniversary Superunknown. Sunday, February 09 2014
On this day 50 years ago, The Beatles made their first live American television appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. At 8 o’clock on February 9th 1964, 73 million people gathered in front their TV sets to see The Beatles’ first live performance in the United States. That appearance is considered a milestone in American pop culture and the beginning of the British Invasion music scene. Monday, February 03 2014
Super Bowl XLVIII (A.K.A the opening act for Bruno Mars) was the highest rated Super Bowl to date, and had the largest audience in American television history with 111.5 million viewers. The Seattle Seahawks’ 43-8 bare bottom spanking of the Denver Broncos tops the previous viewership record of the 111.34 million who watched the 2012 Super Bowl on NBC. The half-time show also set a record with 115.3 million viewers watching Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, beating the 110.8 million delivered by Beyonce last year and the prior record of 114.0 million set by Madonna two years ago. One Denver radio station is getting in on the Seahawks / Broncos rivalry. Denver's classic rock station "The Mountain" is banning all Seattle based bands from its airwaves until after Super Bowl Sunday in an effort to help Bronco fans "keep the positive energy going in preparation for the Super Bowl". That means no music from Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Heart, Soundgarden or Jimmy Hendrix. I suppose two can play at that game, but do you really think anybody would notice if Seattle area radio stations stopped playing Sugarloaf?
