Super Bowl XLVIII (A.K.A the opening act for Bruno Mars) was the highest rated Super Bowl to date, and had the largest audience in American television history with 111.5 million viewers. The Seattle Seahawks’ 43-8 bare bottom spanking of the Denver Broncos tops the previous viewership record of the 111.34 million who watched the 2012 Super Bowl on NBC.

The half-time show also set a record with 115.3 million viewers watching Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, beating the 110.8 million delivered by Beyonce last year and the prior record of 114.0 million set by Madonna two years ago.

I had a blast last Saturday night making my 2nd appearance as Bald Elvis at the 17th Annual Seattle Invitationals.
More than 20 Elvis tribute artists of all genders, shapes and sizes descended upon Seattle’s Experience Music Project to battle for the title of best Elvis impersonator. No I didn’t win the big competition … I didn’t even place … that’s OK, though, it was a great time!
Below is are some video clips

Last weekend some friends and I ventured to the sleepy little town of Roslyn, Washington to see our friends The Dusty 45s perform at the world famous Brick Saloon. Many of you may remember the town of Roslyn as the backdrop for the '90s TV show Northern Exposure, it's also the home of some great little shops and restaurants as well as this rockin' little bar that is alledged to be haunted. As you can see a great time was had by all. Check out the video!

On the evening of  September 15th 2013 My wife and I were driving home to The Seattle area after a weekend of visiting relatives in Spokane WA.

Just outside of a little town call Ritzville we ran into what could only be described as a giant wall of dirt accompanied by hurricane force winds. I've experienced sand-storms in that area before but nothing this severe. For 25 minutes our Jeep was jostled back and forth in the middle of the freeway and we were unable to move or pull over to the side of the road because we couldn't see the road in front of us, or if anybody was coming up behind us.

Turns out there is a name for this kind of storm, It's called a Haboob ( a fancy name for a dust storm. )
